GUEST OPINION: review by Emily

psofey: Waiting For You

© 2001 Sophie Recordings
produced by Jill and Sophie

four-star piano

In goes the cd.... and from the first note of the opening track [ Jim Brickman's Angel Eyes ] to the last note on the cd [ David Lanz's spiral dance ], I sat in amazement, listening wide-eyed.... Sophie you're so good!! I'm serious... I wish I could play like that! All 8 tracks blew me away... the haunting Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing, Sophie's own Untitled, and Schubert's Allegro Moderato, to name a few. I've listened to this record at least 10 times and I've yet to find a mistake. Excellent, Spike! Wow I love it! A must have for anyone. Even if piano's not your thing, it will be after a listen.

Favorite track: Angel Eyes [ hehe, I put it on repeat every time ]

*Note -- the reason for four, not five stars: 8 tracks aren't enough, and I KNOW her next cd will be even better...
so I'm saving the five for next time*
